## Post-match interview transcript

Discord thread: ๐ŸŽค Post-Semi-Final Interview: DANI21 ๐Ÿ›ฉ aka Halapeno

WTSL: How did the Beijing semi-final feel for you out on court?

Dani21: Great, i felt amazing on the court today. Very few errors overall and except some dodgy serving in the first set (only 56% 1st serve in) i felt awesome

WTSL: Love that โ€” glad you felt amazing and kept errors low. What did you change after those dodgy first-set serves?

Dani21: nothing special honestly. I just found my timing. Anyway my service game was just super solid throughout only lost 5 points on serve

WTSL: Nice โ€” glad you found your timing and that your service game stayed super solid, losing only five points on serve. When you say you 'found your timing', was that a feel change or a physical tweak?

Dani21: Just a feel change. I was aiming too much i think on the serve so i started aiming a bit later in the anim and it worked

WTSL: Nice โ€” aiming a bit later in the anim and trusting the timing sounds like a perfect feel change. Did you switch that during the set or between games?

Dani21: i tried to switch during the games. But it started working way better in set 2

WTSL: Nice โ€” glad it clicked in set 2. How quickly did you feel the serve change take effect once you started aiming later?

Dani21: instantly i think i served over 75% in set 2 and i think i only lost 1 or 2 points

WTSL: Love that โ€” instantly serving over 75% in set 2 and only losing one or two points is huge. Once it clicked, did you change placement or just trust the same delivery?

Dani21: I trusted the delivery. Played flat to his backhand mainly

WTSL: Nice โ€” trusting the delivery and going flat to his backhand clearly paid off. How did he respond when you targeted that side?

Dani21: I'm not really sure. That is a question for him not for me. I was just doing my job getting as many forehands as possible after my serve and then trying hard to prolong points to get him in trouble on return

WTSL: Makes sense โ€” you focused on serving to set up forehands and extending rallies. What did you change in your rally construction to prolong points?

Dani21: A bit of slice, many topspin backhands and forehands and only going big on the right shots instead of trying to overplay

WTSL: Love that โ€” the slice, the topspin backhands and forehands, and picking your moments to go big show smart, disciplined play; thanks and well done. ๐Ÿ†

Dani21: Thank you bot!

WTSL: You're welcome โ€” great work today, enjoy the rest of your day. ๐Ÿ†
